Nel lontano 1996, gli Amorphis fecero uscire quel capolavoro chiamato Elegy, destinato a rimanere uno dei migliori della band finlandese, nonostante avessero quel Pasi Koskinen che proprio non ce la poteva fare.
Ed era il tempo in cui mi compravo pure i singoli per avere b-side e inediti, introvabili da altre parti. Nel singolo di My Kantele, oltre alla versione acustica della canzone, c’era questa The Brother Slayer, un pezzo dallo stile folk e medioevaleggiante, come una ballata dell’epoca cantata davanti al fuoco.

P.S. Mi chiedo perché non la inclusero in Elegy, l’avrei preferita ad altre.
